Mark 1:1-3
John the Baptist Prepares the Way
1 The beginning of the good news about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God, 2 as it is written in Isaiah the prophet:
“I will send my messenger ahead of you,
who will prepare your way”—
3 “a voice of one calling in the wilderness,
‘Prepare the way for the Lord,
make straight paths for him.’”
who will prepare your way”—
3 “a voice of one calling in the wilderness,
‘Prepare the way for the Lord,
make straight paths for him.’”
As Thanksgiving Day approaches for us in the United States I am reminded of the things to which I am grateful. This blog series with cover 28 days leading to and including Thanksgiving Day 2013. Please join me in announcing those things to which you are grateful and give praise to God.
I am thankful that I'm allowed to worship in the manner I choose. I choose to follow the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I have prepared the way for the Lord Jesus Christ. I have tried to straighten my paths so I may travel with him. I am thankful I have heard the voice calling in the wilderness and I have called back with affirmation of acceptance and adoration.
Thank you God for showing me the way. May our journey together be joyful and memorable.
